FAQs
I’m not trans or queer. Can I still see you for therapy?
Absolutely yes! While I specialize in providing support to the trans and queer community, I see people from all walks of life. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit. Click the Client Portal button at the top of the screen to schedule your consult.
Why don’t you take insurance?
Many therapists, including myself, can’t afford to accept the reimbursements that insurance companies offer while still providing the quality of care we believe our clients deserve. I am out of network with all insurance companies, but can provide a superbill which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I suggest contacting your insurance company to inquire on how to submit a claim for reimbursement, and to ask about your out of network therapy benefits. In an effort to provide more accessible services while maintaining the quality of care my clients deserve, I reserve a few sliding scale spots for individual therapy, offer group therapy at a significantly lower cost than individual, with sliding scale options available, and provide gender-affirming care assessments and accompanying letters on a sliding scale basis. If cost is a barrier, and I’m unable to accommodate your needs, I am happy to help with a referral to another provider.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that clients notify me at least 24 hours in advance of a cancellation. Clients are allowed one “free pass” per calendar year, and otherwise are responsible for the full session fee if cancelling less than 24 hours in advance or no-showing.
